Step 3: Mapping Your Columns

• Now, we need to map the columns in the file to the appropriate “attribute” in the email program.
• For an example, look at this image.
• The EMAIL column is already being linked with the EMAIL contact attribute, however the LASTNAME and FIRSTNAME are not. If you click the contact attribute dropdown and then select LAST_NAME, you will link the LASTNAME column on your contact list with the LAST_NAME contact attribute.
• When you upload contacts in the future, match the names of you columns with what your email program uses ahead of time to automatically map each attribute.
