Follow Up To Close


These follow ups are meant to be sent to prospects who you have already pre-qualified for your services and you know you can assist. These follow up attempts will occur after the prospect has received the paperwork necessary for them to retain you (Engagement letter, Power of Attorney, credit card authorization). This sequence of follow-ups is vital in growing a successful practice. Remember to always follow up! Two-thirds of your clients will choose you around 6 months after the initial consultation. Do not forget about these prospects and leave money uncollected. Always include a business card and brochure with your follow up letters.

Sequence to follow:

Letter 1 – Mail 3-10 days following initial consultation

Letter 2 – Mail 7-14 days after Letter 1

Letter 3 – Mail 30 days following initial consultation

Letter 4 – Mail 30 days after Letter 3

Letter 5 – Final chance – Mail 30 days after letter 6
